Monster Jam Online MTM2 Freestyle League

Thursday, February 26th, 2004
First off, my sincerest 'thank you' to everyone who attended the All Star Event II. It was definately one of the most fun, most relaxed MTM2 events I've ever been to. From the reactions I've heard, most of you guys think so too. ;)

Finally, All Star Event I stuff (yes, from two seasons ago) has been posted; get to it through the "Archives"-"Season Four" links. That should be the first in a series of updates to the site, including coverage from Season Five, the All Star Event II, and updated History page information.

Saturday, January 31st, 2004
The eighth and final award has been posted. Congratulations to all the winners during Awards Week. For those that didn't win, next year gives you a clean slate and a new chance to go for it!

For the all stars, see you this Saturday at 2PM for the All Star Event 2. We'll be rockin' and rollin', that's for sure!

And by the way...
GO PANTHERS!

Friday, January 30th, 2004
The seventh award has been posted... the final one will be up tomorrow!

Thursday, January 29th, 2004
Next award is posted; only two more to go! Also, the official date and time for the ASE2 has been set to Saturday, February 7th at 2:00 PM EST.

Wednesday, January 28th, 2004
You guessed it, another award (actually two, since we had co-winners) given out today. Check it out.

Tuesday, January 27th, 2004
The fourth award has now been given out; we're halfway through Awards week! Also, it's looking like the All Star Event will be pushed back another week, to February 7th.

Monday, January 26th, 2004
Another day, another award; someone new winning this time, though. ;)

Sunday, January 25th, 2004
The second award has been given out today. Check it out on the Awards page.

The ASE2, originally scheduled for this Saturday, will likely change dates again. So many conflicting plans at this time of year make it almost impossible to find a time when everyone can compete. ASE2-eligible drivers, if you haven't already, check the "Important MJO Announcement" post at Vales and let me know when you can run.

Saturday, January 24th, 2004
Alright, the votes have been tallied, and it is officially Awards Week this week, leading up to the All Star Event II. The track should be out early next week. The first award was given out today; check out the Awards page to see what it was.

Look for updates fairly regularly this week, with new Awards being posted every day.

Saturday, January 10th, 2004
Results, Standings, and the All Star Event 2 lineup have been posted. Congratulations go out to Josh Rhodes, winner at the International Monster Jam, Robby Haught, the overall and sub points champion, and to everyone who made the field for the All Star Event. Great job!

It's been a great season racing with you guys! We've set a new season attendance record, and more people than ever registered points this season. Nice Monster Jamming with you all!

Sunday, December 21st, 2003
Results, Standings, and an All Star Event update from the World Finals have been posted. Congratulations to Robby Haught who wins in Las Vegas. He is still the points leader, but behind Robby, every position in the top eight changed, which sets us up for a showdown at the International Monster Jam on January 3rd, 2004. No position in the All Star Event is set in stone, but the top eight drivers cannot change; it's just a matter of who finishes where.

With that said, Happy Holidays from the Monster Jam League and enjoy the holiday weekend off.

Sunday, December 14th, 2003
Finally, Results and Standings for the past three weeks and the newest All Star Update are posted. Congratulations to Robby Haught, who picked up another victory last night in Reliant Stadium. This week is Double Points at World Finals IV, so practice a lot and be ready to Monster Jam on Saturday!

Saturday, December 6th, 2003
Just a note to all MJO drivers, there IS a race tonight at 6:00. The track is GD20's Sony Stadium MJ 2002. It can be downloaded at Vales or at MTM2.com. Also, sorry for the extreme lack of updates lately. Lots of school stuff and plenty of stuff outside of school have made work on the MJO site come to a halt.

Sunday, November 9th, 2003
Results, Standings, and an All Star Event update from the Astrodome have been posted. Also, check out the "Substitutions Remaining" page, that has been updated to reflect your substitutions remaining for the rest of the season.

Despite some controversy in the Astrodome, there was an MJO-high 16 people in attendance, with a tie for the win on double points night. Congratulations to the two Robs, Robby Haught and Robbie Milburn, with the tie.

This week's race is at the 2003 St Louis Stadium by Bull & Commander Kupalo. If you haven't already, please download the track using one of the links on the track's Schedule Preview page. Now get out there and Monster Jam!

Friday, November 7th, 2003

Tomorrow's race at the 2001 Houston Astrodome week 4 by Max is the second double points night of the season! Make sure that you have made arrangements to attend the event or have a sub in line. Saturday, November 1st, 2003

Coverage from Week Three at Lebanon Valley along with Results and Standings from the most recent race at Minneapolis are now posted. Look for Coverage late this week or next week.

Congratulations once again to the amazing Josh Rhodes who scored only the second perfect score in MJO Online history on way to victory. His truck has now won or tied for the win in every race this year, a feat that the MJO Archives show has never happened before this late in the season.

This Saturday's race is at the tough Brampton City MJ 2002 by DeMoN. Be in the chatroom atleast 15 minutes before race time, and if you need/have a sub, let me know ASAP. Now get out there and Monster Jam!

Saturday, October 11th, 2003
Results and Standings from Week Three of Season Five at the Lebanon Valley MJ 2002 are now posted. The first Double Points Night definately changed a lot of things, but one thing that didn't change was Josh "Dig" Rhodes on top. He ties with Jeremy Waring for the win and still leads the championship. Look for Coverage later in the week.

Saturday, October 4th, 2003
Results, standings, and coverage for Week Two of Season Five at the 2002 Prochera Stadium MJ are now posted. Josh "Dig" Rhodes holds on to his points lead by virtue of his substitution run winning with a 26. This week is a Double Points Night at the Lebanon Valley MJ 2002 by Franchise. Now get out there and Monster Jam!

Tuesday, September 30th, 2003
Coverage from the East Coast MJ 2002 is now posted. Check out (and hopefully enjoy) the new look to the Coverage page.

This week's race is at Griff Carnage's 2002 Prochera Stadium MJ. If you need a sub, contact me ASAP so I can make a note of that. Well, I hope to see everyone on Saturday night. Now get out there and Monster Jam!

Saturday, September 27th, 2003
The first race of Season Five is officially in the books! We had an impressive turnout of a dozen drivers, with Josh "Dig" Rhodes taking the win in Black Smith with a 29. The points are still close going into week two, and don't forget about the big double points night in week three!

Results and standings are posted from week one, so check it all out.

Alright, the Season Five schedule is now online! Head on over to the Schedule page and check it out. Currently, only one event preview is online, but they will all be added in the next week. Also, look for signups to begin late this week or early next week.
UPDATE:
The Rules page has now been updated with some new rules and changes to existing rules. Most prominently are the new Substitute rules, Double Points Nights, and change of the race time to 7:30 Eastern time.

Saturday, September 13th, 2003
Finally another site update. World Finals IV coverage is up now. Season Four results, standings, and coverage are currently available on the Archives page. Well, check back often in the next few days, because Season Five information will be coming!

Saturday, August 23rd, 2003
A long-awaited update is finally here. Coverage from weeks 10 and 11 are now up. Look for World Finals coverage and All Star Event coverage coming fairly soon. Also, there is a new format to the Archives pages. Take a look! They're much easier to navigate now.

Also, just a clarification, and I don't know where people got the idea that signups are now open, but they're not. Stay tuned to the Vales.com/MTM2 forums and eventually, signups will be open.

The upcoming season is a special one... the fifth season of MJO. We'll have special web pages to highlight the past four seasons, and expanded previews of events, along with some twists to the schedule, new awards to be given out at season's end, and an interesting addition to the points system. Not to mention the fact that finally, drivers will be able to use substitutes. The next month will be a busy one for MJO, so get ready, once again, to Monster Jam!

IT'S HERE...
The First Annual MJO ALL STAR EVENT - July 25, 2003
Tonight is the First Annual MJO All Star Event! The official lineup and rules for the All Star Event are posted on the All Star Event page. We have eight of the best freestylers from the MTM2 community set to battle it out on one of the most spectacular obstacle courses ever created for the game! If you made the ASE, congratulations - you truly earned it! If not, then maybe next season will be your season. Regardless, we should have some great competition tonight at the All Star Event. For all All Stars, please meet in the chatroom by 6:45 Eastern. We need to get a headcount ASAP so reserves can be contacted if needed. See you at the track!

Thursday, July 24th, 2003
Results, standings, and a final All Star Event update from the World Finals IV are now posted. Coverage should be rolling in progressively during the off season. The Champions page is also now updated. Thanks to the record crowd that attended the World Finals, and congratulations to Dustin Hart, winner of the WFIV, and also to Robby Haught, the SEASON FOUR CHAMPION! Great season Robby, and great season to everyone. Thanks to all who attended events this year. We had a record 18 different people attend events during the season, in the first online-only season of MJO. Thanks to the support that you've given to this league, and I hope you'll come back for season five, which is coming in August with some all-new rules which should make the Monster Jam League better and more competitive than ever!

Tuesday, July 8th, 2003

Now get out there and Monster Jam!

Results, standings, and the All Star Event update from the 2003 Pontiac 2nd Stop are now posted. No coverage yet; look for it sometime next week. IF YOU DID NOT GET THE EMAIL ABOUT MAKING UP RACES, PLEASE READ THIS! For the final four events of the season, any driver in the top eight in points may makeup the race(s) they miss after the race(s). This helps make everything more fair as far as the points go. If you are in the top eight and miss a race, I will contact you either through email or on AIM.

Tuesday, June 10th, 2003
Results, standings, coverage, and the All Star Event update from the San Diego MJ 2003 are now posted. I hope everyone enjoyed their week off last week. This week's event is the 2003 Pontiac 2nd Stop by Bull. I hope everyone will be there this Friday, June 13th. The points are extremely tight. We have a tie for the points lead, a tie for third only 17 points back, and only three points separating fifth and seventh! The race to be in the All Star Event is also very close. Robbie Milburn is currently on the bubble in eighth place, but several drivers separated by only a few points are still vying for a spot in the inagural All Star Event. Well, I hope you'll all attend this weekend's race.

Friday, May 30th, 2003
Results, standings, coverage, and the All Star Event update from the RCA Dome are now up. Thanks to all who showed up for tonight's race. We are taking a week off before the final month of the season. Also, I realize that none of the remaining tracks on the schedule have been released yet - Robby and I are working on assembling the rest of the schedule. Enjoy your week off, and see you at the next race!

Saturday, March 8th, 2003
Signups to everyone else are now open. Last season's point scorers will still have priority over new drivers, but among the new drivers, it is first come, first serve. I'll try to keep the Drivers page updated periodically so you can see who is signed up and what trucks are taken.

Tuesday, March 4th, 2003
The Drivers page has been updated with all the trucks taken so far. Drivers who gained points last season may now submit applications. If you don't know if you earned points last season, check the Archives -> Season Three page on the standings. If your name is not on that list, you may not submit an application! I will update the site regularly with new drivers and let you all know when everyone else can submit applications.

Monday, March 3rd, 2003
The new site is officially open today! Signups are now open, but only to the top five in last season's points from either division. Remember, the only division is online this season. We've dropped offline. An update will be posted later in the week when others can signup.
